Since this week is only a half-week, I'll give you extra credit for any entries you make on the blog. In addition to the two series of questions, I've posted this week, you might also talk about your experience in the class, what you learned, what you're still learning, what we did that helped, what you wished we had done more of, etc.
You can also use this space to compliment and celbrate your classmates' readings on Wed.
I appreciate all the hard work you've put into the course this term.
best,

My experience in this class has been one of the best ones i have had so far in the time i have been in QCC. I feel i have improve in my writing and now i want to keep writing. this class has helped me value my work. It has made me see that my writing can be enjoyed. ill would say that getting the habit of reading books,or long essays is still something i am still working on. Something that i wish we could have done more wash having more time on Wednesdays to share our work together as a class. That was fun to do and also efficient because we received feedback.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the class reading on Wednesday. It was nice to see how different everyone is as a writer. I feel like I improved on my writing since the beginning of this semester. I learned different types of genres and styles you can do, as well as how you can be creative with your writing. I think the best part about this class was the authors reading from Samantha Hunt. That was my first time going to one of those and very memorable. i would recommend this class to anyone. I also liked the opinions from my classmates about my writing, it helped me grow as a writer.
ReplyDeleteThis semester I learned how much having writers block can affect a writer and how inspiration is very important when writing a new piece. I truly enjoyed the group critiques it was one of the greatest experiences I had in any of my English class I’ve taken in college; I felt more connected with my classmates in the sense, I liked how we would criticize each other’s work in a very positive form. This class also helped me realize how everyone is a writer if they put effort and time into developing what they think and say into an awesome piece. I Enjoyed the public writing project because I had to step out my comfort zone as much I had to set up of my comfort zone in the group critiques because I won’t deny in ththe beginning of the semester I was afraid of what people would say about my writing ( I didn’t see myself as a great writer) and I was worried about how people would take my opinion. Safe to say my views on all of this changed completely as it helped me become more confident in writing more pieces. I found Samantha Hunts readings to be my favorites of the semester she made me feel as if I was in her stories; Attending her reading also helped me connect with her stories has we had an inside look at the process it took her in creating those short stories. It was Great hearing the professor read one of his pieces out loud and him answering all the questions we had of how he composed it.
ReplyDeleteThis class was a good experience for me because I thought that the class discussing writing was one of the best aspects about this class. Us talking about these stories educated me more, because we had an interaction in our class where we could learn about poetry from everybody's point of view, and what they thought about what we had read. Being that we did this it was a better way to learn about these stories, and also have our own opinions about the poetry, and stories. We had the opportunity to say what we thought about it, and managed to also have better writing skills, when were in this class.
