Human Snowball

When I envision Davy, I see a guy who isn't really known for taking a lot of risks, unless it really means some thing to him.  You can tell that he really loved Lauren, even though it didn't work out he got those few moments that night with her and that was all he wanted.  I think him going and surprising her opened up who he is as a character too.  I like Chris, I love that he is noted as a "criminal" but throughout the whole essay he helps everyone else out.  I love that he's portrayed as just a good, compassionate person who just does illegal things.  The relationship between Davy and Vernon is very warming.  Davy really looked out for him and helped him rekindle his relationship with his family.  I think the respect is very visible because of Vernon's age, but they seem to need something from each other too.  Davy wanted Vernon's wise life advice and Vernon needed to be back wit his great granddaughter.  The title for this piece is fitting because in a matter of as couple hours 10 random people that have never met each other are sharing birthday shots with a very special man.  It's proof of what humans are capable of when it comes to social interaction.
