Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 220 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

The end of The Stranger
The ending of The Stranger we see Meursault show the most emotion throughout the whole novel. We see him get emotional when he talks to the chaplain and when asked Meursault why he doesn't call him father and with that he snaps back at the chaplain. I believe to a point the emotions that Meursault felt and understood were coming to a head at least for him. In general though I don't believe he would have have ever fully grasped feeling like everyone else does.
