Human Snowball

The story got the name Human Snowball, because human life can be like snow, as Davy was explaining how the snow fall and then it melt away likewise Humans are like that one moment we can be here and a next moment we are not. From the author point of view he seems to be a person that accept life as it is. The character Chris adds fun and excitement to the story he seems to be a cool guy. Davy got connected to Vernon through his age and his positively of life. I am confused at the end. Did Davy and Lauren get back together?  It was a sad and happy moment at the same time.
